Getting Started

How do I download and install Smart Retail POS Pro?

Visit our download page to get the latest Windows installer. Run the setup file and follow the on-screen instructions. The entire process takes less than 5 minutes. No special technical skills required.

What are the system requirements?

Smart Retail POS Pro runs on Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit). Minimum requirements: 4GB RAM, 500MB disk space. Internet connection is optional and only needed for cloud sync features.

Is there a Mac or Linux version?

Currently, Smart Retail POS Pro is only available for Windows. We may consider developing Mac and Linux versions in the future based on user demand. Sign up for our newsletter to stay updated.

How do I start the free trial?

After installing the application, create an account with your email address. Verify your email through the confirmation link sent to your inbox. Your 14-day free trial begins immediately upon email verification.

Offline & Cloud Sync

Does Smart Retail POS Pro work without internet?

Yes! Smart Retail POS Pro is built with offline-first architecture. All core POS functions including billing, inventory, customer ledger, and reporting work perfectly without an internet connection. Your data is stored locally on your device.

What is cloud sync and how does it work?

Cloud sync is an optional feature powered by Supabase. When enabled, your data is encrypted and synchronized to the cloud, allowing you to access it across multiple devices and providing automatic backups. Cloud sync requires an internet connection.

Is my data secure in the cloud?

Yes. All cloud-synced data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256 encryption. Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensure that only you can access your synchronized data. We never share or sell your data.

Can I use the software without cloud sync?

Absolutely. Cloud sync is entirely optional. You can use Smart Retail POS Pro completely offline with all features fully functional. Your data remains on your device and is never transmitted unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.

Pricing & Billing

What happens after my 14-day free trial?

Your data remains intact on your device. To continue using all features, you'll need to purchase a subscription. Your data is never deleted upon trial expiration. You can export your data at any time.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cryptocurrency payments via NowPayments (Bitcoin, Ethereum, and more), PayPal, and local payment methods depending on your region. All payment options are shown during checkout.

What is your refund policy?

Refund requests within 7 days of purchase will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. No refunds are provided after 7 days from the date of purchase. Cryptocurrency payments are non-refundable due to the irreversible nature of blockchain transactions.

Can I change my subscription plan?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your subscription plan at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Prorated refunds are not provided for mid-cycle downgrades.

Smart Retail POS Pro includes fast billing & invoicing, inventory management, customer & supplier ledger, staff & payroll management, sales reports & analytics, and automated cloud backups. All features are available during the free trial.

Can I use barcode scanners and receipt printers?

Yes. Smart Retail POS Pro supports USB barcode scanners and thermal receipt printers that are compatible with Windows. Simply plug them in and they will work automatically with the software.

Does it support multiple users or terminals?

Each license allows installation on one Windows PC. For multiple terminals, you'll need additional licenses. Cloud sync allows data synchronization across multiple licensed devices if enabled.

Can I import data from other POS systems?

Smart Retail POS Pro supports CSV import for inventory items and customer data. We provide templates in the help documentation. For complex migrations, contact our support team for assistance.

Data & Backup

How do I backup my data?

Smart Retail POS Pro includes built-in backup functionality. Go to Settings > Backup and click "Create Backup". You can save backups locally or to cloud storage providers like Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive.

Are backups encrypted?

Yes. All backup files use AES-256-GCM encryption with a proprietary format (.srpos). This ensures that even if backup files are copied or stolen, they cannot be read without the application's decryption key.

Can I export my data to Excel or PDF?

Yes. Smart Retail POS Pro allows you to export reports, invoices, and inventory lists to various formats including Excel, PDF, and CSV. This is useful for accounting, tax preparation, and business analysis.

Who owns my data?

You own your data 100%. Smart Retail POS Pro acts solely as a data processor. We never access, sell, or share your business data. You can export, migrate, or delete your data at any time.
